I don’t care if you do it because you want to help us out or if you do it because you get a free raffle ticket for voting. Just take a look at what people submitted and tell us what you like.

We have collected all the WHO IS LTA submissions and it’s time to vote on them.

You have until Tuesday September 2nd.

Winners! (That probably aren't you.)
Winners! (That probably aren't you.)

If only I had a CX3 token for every time someone asked.

“Don’t you worry that it’s TOO MUCH winning?!”

“How much winning can LTA really handle??”

So much winning, indeed!

Event #1 (Bank Down!) took 4 weeks for someone to guess within $5 of the correct amount. In that time we produced:

-3 winners who guessed closest, but not close enough.

-A first and second place winner in this final week.

-And 3 different winners for the side contests that, based on participation numbers, you probably had absolutely no idea we were running.

I don’t know if the low turnout was a communication problem on my part or an interest issue on your part. But I do NOT have the time to care. Too busy trying to keep up with all the winning!

So much winning…

And speaking of the TWO bonus contests we tacked on this week, the questions were:

1) How many people will make guesses in this week’s main event?

2) How many MORE entries will there be in the main event than in this side event. (The side event that apparently turned out to be some sort of secret event, even though we completely talked about it in the “groups” section, the place we said we were going to post this kind of crap.)

In the end, this week had 28 people enter the main event which was 15 more people than entered the side event (the side event that you appeared not to know about).

These numbers made Donnie the winner of the first question and Lauren V the winner of the 2nd.

As far as the main contest goes, the amount of chips on the ground was $26,728. The final winning guess came from Christine who was $3 off with $26,731. First place won her 3 tokens. Becky’s guess of $26,734 was only $6 off and it won her 2 tokens.

And that’s a wrap on event #1! So congratulations to all the winners, thank you to everyone who participated, blah, blah, blah.

But enough about the past…

Event #2

Up and running!

(So much more winning to come...)

You still have a few days to take a stab at the Who is LTA event.

Tuesday August 26th is your deadline.

And what’s this?

You’ve already found out what the winning number was.

You found out that you didn’t come in first.

You’re still reading this post?

And you’re so busy these days. That laundry is not going to fold itself. And if not the laundry, right now you could be doom scrolling or tickety-tocking or Labubooing or whatever it is the kids do today. But no, you’re still here.

You’re too kind!

Your diligent attention to the glorious celebration that is CX3 is noticed and appreciated. To thank you for reading all this way, I would be honored to offer one last bonus side quest contest to close out event #1.

(Way too much winning?)

If you are still here and you are interested, click the link below to find out what the very last bonus contest is.

Good luck!

Summary:

  • CX3 is live

  • Record breaking participation

  • Results for the first week are in

  • You probably did not win

All records SMASHED!

We have never had a CX3 event as big as Event 1. I was hoping that we would get at least 20 to 30 people putting a guess in. So when I saw that there were 109 guesses I was floored. And having agreed to add a token for every 10 people who entered, that meant a crazy impressive prize pool.

Upon closer inspection though, I realized that 8 of the 109 guesses belonged to Louie. And then I saw that at least 12 different people put in at least 2 or more guesses for whatever reason. So technically, it was under 90 actual different people making guesses.

But still!

That’s an ass load of engagement.

No one got the number exactly right. So the person who got the closest guess will retrieve one token from the prize pool and everyone will get another shot at the remaining tokens.

Before revealing this week’s winner though, I want to mention that we will be moving future updates for CX3 to our website’s “Celebration X3” group. If you have signed up as a member to LTAPM.com you will probably be added to the group and may get notifications. You may not. Listen, I don’t know.

Our website provider switched from “forums” to “groups” and I didn’t even know how forums worked before they canceled that functionality. Then I had to make a “groups” section, whatever the heck that is. So we now have some sort of Facebook-like thing to post on and you can go there for the most up to date CX3 info.

And without further adieu, the participant whose guess was closest this week is… Asusana!

A token has been added to her token total. And the new week starts now. Your guess for this week needs to be in by Tuesday, August 5th.

Good luck!

Miscellanea that may or may not be helpful as you triangulate your next guess

Asusana's guess:

$26,020

Average guess:

$20,209.77451

A vast majority of the guesses all fell within a similar range, which interestingly enough was the same range that ChatGPT gave me when I fed it a picture of the chips.

Worst guess:

$137

Least helpful response to the “Your name” question on the entry form:

“Michael”

The answer “Michael M” was also particularly unhelpful since we have at least 3 different people who would turn their heads if someone shouted for a Michael M. And in case you were curious who guessed $137, it was “Michael M”.

Last answer to come in this week (with the deadline being listed as “by Tuesday”):

Tod Nead

His guess came in at 8:41 am on Wednesday morning, which I guess by graveyard shift rules could still be considered very late Tuesday night. Since it was not the winning guess we went ahead and accepted it.

Most honest non-winning guess for how many chips were on the floor:

“Too many”

(from Christi)

Number of personalized CX3 thank you letters written so far:

61

Though 5 of them all went to Patrick Tiller who figured out that you are by no means limited to only 1 letter of thanks. LTA is NOT stingy with its gratitude.

And I imagine that’s it.

See you again next week!
